I didn't know that route 66 ended at the Santa Monica pier in Santa Monica, Calif. until I saw this sign there last week. I've driven on Route 66 many times, but didn't know where it ended.

Deer in My Back Yard - Feb. 27, 2011
I always have a lot of deer in my back yard here in northern Virginia. I had five deer visit recently and took this photo of a deer by the cobalt blue bottles in my back garden. I love nature.
