Venus and Cupid - March 11, 2011
I did this needlepoint and finished it in 1974. It is titled "Venus and Cupid" and is from a painting by Diego De Velazquez, that hangs in the National Gallery in London. My needlepoint hang above my the bed in my bedroom. It is approximately 22" x 43".

Pink Carnation Bud - March 9, 2011
I brought this pink carnation bud home from a birthday celebration for a friend who was turning 96 years "young". The stem broke on this bud, so I brought it home to enjoy. The bud is just opening up further. I have it sitting on the coffee table in my living room.
Mardi Gras Beads - March 8, 2011
Even though I wasn't in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, I wore my mardi Gras beads in northern Virginia on Tuesday.

I have two nandina ( heavenly bamboo) bushes growing in my back yard. The red berries bring color to the yard and the leaves stay green all year round.
Blue Blown Glass Fish - March 6, 2011
I have this blue, blown glass fish hanging from a maple tree branch in my front yard. He brings a spark of color on the cold winter days.
